Yorge Armando, CU/DE
It´s a great pleasure that we for the first time can welcome Yorge Armando as a new dance instructor at Nordic Salsa Camp 2019 together with Karelia Despaigne. It is a wish we have had ever since, that Yorge & Karelia with great success taught in the Salsa Camp in Cuba tour in 2016 in Havana. This year we have succeeded!
Yorge Armando is a autodidact street dancer, where he has built up his dance education and dance experiences by dancing and teaching in several dance groups in Havana such as Tiempo Libre, Aché Latino, Viadanza and Son Traditional. Yorge is a great son dancer, where he had danced with the new generation of the Buena Vista Social Club orchestras in Havana.
Since 2017, Yorge has been living in Dresden, Germany, where he has his own dance school, “Kubaname”. Yorge speaks fluent English, and is a super dedicated and skilled teacher and communicator of Cuban salsa, dance culture, dance joy and musicality.
Beside teaching in his dance school and at the big Salsafestivals in Germany and Europe, Yorge is working to spread the knowledge of Cuban culture in Dresden and his local community.
